Permaculture is a solutions based approach which recognises the need for systems thinking. The workshop will give participants a basic introduction to permaculture and why we need permaculture solutions. We manage the land organically aiming to increase biodiversity and benefit wildlife. The walk will take about 2 hours & will focus on our trees and woodland with our tree circle and willow dome and labyrinth. Off Site Activity

17:15 – 18:45 How to Build a Tree House Presentation Mike Hartley This is a presentation style workshop; talk and film presentation style with discussion and questions and answers. It covers the resent build of a treehouse using as far as possible natral materials and sourcing local sustainable or recycled materials. The talk includes video and photographs as well as drawings which are to demonstrate an approach to all design large and small building and construction projects where problems can be viewed as directing infact possible benefits to the design and limitation leeding the essence of good design. An approach using principles where the materials and how they perform and the effect on the environment dictate the structure rather than forcing materials to do things it is a response to approach.
